RSA – Responsible Service of Alcohol

This course provides participants with all the necessary knowledge in order to serve alcohol responsibly.

This course is essential for people working in a licensed venue or bottle shop and is recognised in QLD and VIC.

Food Safety Supervisor

This nationally recognised course (SITXFSA002) allows people to participate in safe food handling practises.

The course will provide the key skills to be a food safety supervisor. Students will learn food safety plan requirements and will be informed about the food safety laws and local regulations. All students must complete the Food Handler course first.

Food Handler

This nationally recognised course (SITXFSA001) provides students with the knowledge and tools for hygienic food safety practices.

Students who complete this course will have a greater understanding about essential food safety skills, food laws and regulations. This course is a must for students working in a food business who will handle, prepare or store food.
Duration:         One-day course

Qualifications

Certificate III in Wine Industry Operations

This course (FDF30411) is designed for people working in the wine industry who want to further their skills and learn more about wine production operations. This course is practical and is based on a ‘hands on’ approach to learning. This course will provide relevant skills such as WHS (workplace health and safety), food safety, Australian wine history, evaluation and wine tasting, matching wine with food, supervisory skills, quality control systems and wine horticulture.

Certificate II in Hospitality

This entry level course (SIT20316) is designed for students entering into the hospitality industry.

The topics covered range from customer service and RSA to safe food handling and work health and safety. Also food and beverage service and catering operations.

This is an essential course for those wanting to have an extra edge when looking for hospitality work!

Certificate III in Hospitality

This entry level course (SIT30616) provides a practical, hands on approach for students who want to further their knowledge and skills in the hospitality industry. This course is designed to provide a pathway to hospitality management.

The course will help develop a range of hospitality skills including: customer service, RSA, barista training, bar operation. It will teach students about food safety supervision, food & beverage service, effective team work (including staff coaching) health & safety and Australian wine studies.

Certificate IV in Hospitality

This course (SIT40416) is ideal for people with prior hospitality experience or a certificate III in hospitality and who want to move into a management/ supervisory role.

The elective selection allows specialisation for specific roles such as food and beverage supervisor; venue manager; bar supervisor; hotel manager.
This course offers students further hospitality skills development in the areas of finance, staff recruitment + management, helping support + develop staff, dealing with work + staff issues, conflict management and work health + safety.

This course also covers basic wine studies.

 Certificate II in Retail Services

This Retail Services course (SIR20212) is an entry level course that has been designed for people with no prior retail experience. The course entails learning about basic operations and gives students practical skills for a variety of settings including: speciality stores, department stores and retail food outlets.

This course also focuses on teaching customer service and teamwork skills and is perfect to help boost job prospects.

It is the perfect starting point for those wanting a career in retail and it is a great introduction course for those who later want to move on to the certificate III in Retail Operations.

Certificate III in Retail Operations

This course (SIR30212) is designed for people with some retail experience who wish to further their skills and knowledge.

This course will improve participant’s customer service and relationship building, communication and team building, merchandising and presentation.

Students will leave with the knowledge of sales principles, stock control and loss prevention, work health and safety and retail technology training.
This course can help clear a pathway to a supervisory role in the retail industry.

Certificate IV in Retail Management

This course (SIR40212) will help further a participant’s career progress and transition them into a management role. This course targets those who are working in a management or/and supervisory role or who aspire to such roles. The breadth of applications in retail management are small-to-medium business; department or section management; independent outlets or franchises; wholesale or public.

The course will go into depth in the areas of managing and motivating teams, recruitment and section of staff and store administration.

It will focus on and help improve customer service skills, help with merchandising and sales, stock management and analysing & interpreting sales figures + trends.

This is an all-round course covering a multitude of skills, all needed to be successful in retail!
