RSA – Responsible Service of Alcohol

This course provides participants with all the necessary knowledge in order to serve alcohol responsibly.

This course is essential for people working in a licensed venue or bottle shop and is recognised in QLD, VIC and TAS.

NSW Food Safety Supervisor

Access Training & Logistics is approved by the NSW Food Authority to deliver the NSW Food Safety Supervisor Certificate program.

This nationally recognised course (SITXFSA005 & SITXFSA006)  will provide the key skills to be a Food Safety Supervisor. Students will learn food safety plan requirements and will be informed about the food safety laws and local regulations.

Duration:         One-day course

Food Safety Supervisor

This nationally recognised course (SITXFSA006) allows people to participate in safe food handling practises.

The course will provide the key skills to be a food safety supervisor. Students will learn food safety plan requirements and will be informed about the food safety laws and local regulations. All students must complete the Food Handler course first.

Duration:         One-day course

Food Handler

This nationally recognised course (SITXFSA005) provides students with the knowledge and tools for hygienic food safety practices.

Students who complete this course will have a greater understanding about essential food safety skills, food laws and regulations. This course is a must for students working in a food business who will handle, prepare or store food.

Duration:         One-day course

Qualifications

Certificate III in Hospitality

This entry level course (SIT30622) provides a practical, hands on approach for students who want to further their knowledge and skills in the hospitality industry. This course is designed to provide a pathway to hospitality management.

The course will help develop a range of hospitality skills including: customer service, RSA, barista training, bar operation. It will teach students about food safety supervision, food & beverage service, effective team work (including staff coaching) health & safety and Australian wine studies.

Duration:        6 – 12 months depending on study venue

Mode:             Classroom with a placement or traineeship/workplace

Certificate IV in Hospitality

This course (SIT40422) is ideal for people with prior hospitality experience or a certificate III in hospitality and who want to move into a management/ supervisory role.

The elective selection allows specialisation for specific roles such as food and beverage supervisor; venue manager; bar supervisor; hotel manager.
This course offers students further hospitality skills development in the areas of finance, staff recruitment + management, helping support + develop staff, dealing with work + staff issues, conflict management and work health + safety.

This course also covers basic wine studies.
Duration:        12 – 18 months depending on venue and previous experience in the hospitality industry

Certificate III in Catering

This course (SIT30921) provides a practical, hands on pathway for people wishing to work in various catering settings including mobile catering, cook-chill production kitchens and residential services.

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working in catering operations who use a range of cookery skills and sound knowledge of kitchen operations to prepare food items. Using discretion and judgement, they work with some independence and under limited supervision using plans, policies and procedures to guide work activities.

Duration:         12 – 18 months depending on venue and previous experience

Mode:             Traineeship/workplace
